Travis Jarrell

Travis Jarrell, resplendent in orange and purple, dances with Laurel Victoria Gray.
Travis Fontaine Jarrell was invited to Bukhara, Uzbekistan in 1992 to study and perform as a guest artist with Olija-Hon Hassanova and the Mohy-Sitora Folkloric Ensemble. Miss Jarrell’s dance background includes extensive Western classical and modern training, North Indian Kathak, and 20 years of Middle Eastern dance.

She works as an Artist-in-Residence in the public schools in New Mexico and teaches dance in Santa Fe. Her solo concerts, presented around the U.S. and Europe, include Central Asian and Middle Eastern choreographies, as well as her own original works.
